Answer to your Health Question

Question (09/07/2011):

Title: BURNING OF SKIN 10 WEEKS AFTER C S (C-section).

Part of my feet, hands, waist line and especially the bottom left side of my abdomen (just above the op scar) & back have been affected by burning sensation for the past 7 weeks.

I have done lab tests for liver function, electrolytes, uric acid, typhoid & other two that I can't remember and all prooved to be normal.

Now I am beginning to feel pain mixed with burning inside my bottom left abdomen and this becomes obvious when I sit for some time.

Dear Iyamide,

The sensation of pain, burning, heat and cold is a characteristic alteration of the nerve receptors and this may be given by any neuropathy.

Entrapment neuropathies are often associated with abdominal surgery.

Entrapment neuropathies are injuries where a peripheral nerve is externally compressed in its passage through the bone, around large muscles and through structures of fibrous tissue.

The incidence of this disorder occurs in 10 to 25 percent of contemporary neurosurgical practice.
