Question: Lately, my girlfriend's vagina has been hurting. After we start having sex it hurts her so bad that she cries. She said inside her vergina its like its cut or something. What do we need to know and what do we need to do? Bobby

Pain in the vagina usually occurs when there is an infection present (vaginitis). Causes of vaginal pain include:

- Yeast infection
- Genital warts
- Chlamydia
- Cysts
- Pain during penetration
