Answer to your Health Question

Question: I had a jock-itch a year ago and after I cured it, I still have these big brown spots in my inner thighs. They pretty much stand out on my light skin so it doesn't look good. I've been wondering how to get rid of these dreadful jock-itch marks. What should I do? I really need help. Thanks. Trevor

Answer: Dear Trevor,

The spots you mention may be scars lefts by the jock itch infection due to scratching or friction from clothes. Creams that exfoliate the skin may be able to help, since they remove the outer layers of the skin and new skin can grow.

Look for creams with AHA (alpha hydroxy acid), the most common being Glycolic Acid and Lactic Acid.
