Question: I've been reading
the steps to puberty and most of them have happened but out of order.
I'm a 15 y/o male and steps such as hair, penis growth and voice changes
have occurred but my testes haven't started to grow. In all the websites
I look at, they say its one of the first steps! Jono
Answer: Dear Jono,
Puberty consists of a series of
changes in the human body and they can appear at different times depending
on the person. Although most changes usually occur at a certain time,
there is no rule for when they should happen.
A good guide is knowing when these
changes occured in a family (father, brothers, grandfathers) as it
is common for them to occur at the same time.
Puberty changes can occur all
very rapidly or take up to 6 years for all of the them to result.
