normal lymph node in the neck is oval and it is usually less than
1 cm in length. It looks like a kind of stain under your skin or a
pink or purple painless spots. They are also called glands and contain
clusters of immune system cells. Normally, lymph nodes are small and
round and you don't notice them. But when they're swollen, it means
your immune system is at work.
