Answer to your Health Question

Question: My son is 15 months old and since yesterday morning he will not walk on his right leg, instead he has reverted to crawling. He does have an ear infection. Can this be connected in an way or should I seek further medical attention? Astoria

Answer: Dear Astoria,

The ear is an important organ that maintains the sense of balance (equilibrium). Since you child has an ear infection, it is very probable that this is the cause for him not being able to walk. The ear infection is affecting his balance and he probably feels like he can fall down if he tries to walk.
