Answer to your Health Question Question: I had a baby 3 months
ago through c-section and for the past 40 days I have been bleeding.
What can I do to stop it? Lana Answer: Dear Lana, Postpartum bleeding is very common with both vaginal or c-section deliveries. During the first 4-7 days, the discharge is usually bright red and occurs because of the natural cleansing of the uterus. This bleeding usually changes gradually (light pink, brownish) and in some women can last up to 6 weeks. |
