Title: Taking Levothyroxine with vitamin B-12 .

Taking Levothyroxine 75 MCG with B-12 together will there be any side effects or reactions or will the B-12 affect the medication in any way?

Answer:

One of the causes of levothyroxine malabsorption is deficiency of vitamin B-12.

Levothyroxine interactions include some drugs such as antidiabetic agents, antacids, epinephrine, vitamins( Vitamin C enhances oral absorption), iron and calcium, and certain foods such as milk and dairy products.

Hypothyroidism decreases erythropoietin, vitamin B12, and iron absorption.

Our data mining technology did not find any interaction between levothyroxine and Vitamin B12.
