Question: I have heart failure and have excessive sweating. Could this be a major concern? Thanks, Mara

Answer: Dear Mara,

Sweating is a common symptom of heart failure conditions. If the sweating is accompanied by the following it is important that you visit your doctor as they could be symptoms of a heart attack:

- Discomfort, pressure, chest pain
- Discomfort from the back, jaw, throat or arm
- Fullness, indigestion or heartburn feeling
- Sweating, nausea, vomiting or dizziness
- Extreme weakness
- Shortness of breath
- Rapid or irregular heartbeats
