Question: I have sometimes
a very bad pain on the right side of my neck. At first it only happen
once in awhile, now quite often. Thank you, Helen
Answer: Dear Helen,
Different conditions can cause
neck pain such as:
- Muscle strains (overuse of neck
muscles)
- Arthritis
- Spinal discs disorders (herniated disc, nerve irritation)
- Injury
Over the counter pain relievers
can help with neck pain but if not, the next step would be to visit
a chiropractor, who can find out if the cause of the pain is muscular
or skeletal and can in most cases provide appropriate and quick treatment
in the office.
