Answer to your Health Question

Question: My 7 year old daughter just had her tonsills out. What could I feed her so that she will still get all the nourishments she need, since she does not have an appetite? Shineka

Answer: Dear Shineka,

It is recommended to drink lots of liquid after tonsillectomy in order to heal faster and during the first couple days after the surgery eat soft foods.

Examples:

- Water
- Milk
- Pasta
- Mashed potatoes
- Soft breads (without seeds)
- Corn bread

Crispy foods should be avoided until healing is complete
