Answer to your Health Question

Question: for a couple of months now my left foot has been going numb in the big toe and the two toes that are next to it. now the problem has gotten wierder. just out of the blue i can step on my foot wrong and get a sharp tingle/pain in the entire foot.
i am concerned that it is a problem. however i do not want to overract and run straight to the doctor. any sugestion would be nice. thank you in advance for your help. marie

It may be Morton's neuroma that occurs in the space, between the third and fourth toes, it is also called plantar neuroma. It may occur in response to irritation, injury or pressure — such as from wearing tightfitting shoes, Treatments involve changing footwear, resting your foot, and using arch supports or pads to help take pressure off the area.
